- 1 pkg. German chocolate (4 oz.)
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 (14 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Melt chocolate and margarine over low heat; remove from heat and stir in milk.

2In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.

3Beat in one egg at a time.

4Add vanilla and mix thoroughly.

5Gradually blend in chocolate mixture.

6Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie shell. Combine coconut and pecans.

7Sprinkle over top of filling.

8Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.

9Filling will set as pie cooks.
