  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. pickling salt
  • 1 Tbsp. powdered mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 c. chopped onion

Directions

    Put sliced cucumbers and onion in a gallon jar.

    Pack well. Heat other ingredients until sugar is dissolved and cool completely.

    Pour over cucumbers and onions; refrigerate.

    You can add more cucumbers and onions to syrup as you eat pickles.
