German Potato Salad

  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 5 or 6 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 5 to 6 medium potatoes, peeled and boiled

Directions

    Fry bacon and remove from pan.

    Saute onion in bacon drippings.

    Add vinegar, sugar and water.

    Thicken with cornstarch.

    Slice potatoes into mixture.

    Add salt and bacon. Keep warm until served.
