- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. whole cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 medium onion, sliced thin
- 1/2 lemon, sliced thin
- 1/4 c. sugar
- salt, pepper and shortening
Directions

1Brown meat on all sides in hot shortening.
