- 1 (4 to 5 lb.) cabbage
- 1 large onion, sliced thin
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. celery
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. oil
Directions

1Soak cabbage in cold water before shredding.

2Mix cabbage, onion slices and sugar in a large bowl.

3Mix salt, 2 teaspoons sugar, mustard and celery seed, vinegar and oil in saucepan.

4Boil for 3 minutes and pour over cabbage mixture.

5Cover and store overnight.
