- 3 14 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 quarts water, boiling, salted
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 12 cup breadcrumbs
Directions

1Sift flour and salt together.

2Beat eggs into flour mixture.

3Add milk gradually to make a heavy dough.

4Put dough on a small board or plate; cut off small pieces with a knife.

5Drop dough pieces into rapidly boiling salted water.

6Boil 8 minutes or until spaetzle float to top.

7Remove spaetzle; put in a colander.

8Wash with cold water; drain.

9Saute in butter until golden.

10Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
