- 5 to 6 c. flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. margarine
Directions

1In a bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Heat milk, water and margarine until warm. Add to flour mixture. Add eggs and rest of flour.

2Place dough in bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.

3When dough is light, roll out into rectangle 1/4-inch thick. Brush with melted butter. Combine 2/3 white or brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins and chopped nuts.

4Spread over dough.

5Roll jelly roll fashion. Shape on greased baking sheet into ring.

6From the outside, cut through the ring almost all the way through, in 1-inch slices. Turn slices slightly on side and brush with melted fat. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.

7Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. While still warm, brush with confectioners frosting. Decorate with chopped nuts and cherries.
