German Venison Steak

  • 8 medium-size venison steaks
  • 1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
  • 14 oz. water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. beef broth granules
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c. onion flakes

Directions

    Combine catsup, water, onion, sugar and pepper in saucepan. Simmer for 15 minutes.

    Combine beef broth granules, cracker crumbs and onion flakes.

    Beat eggs.

    Dip steaks in eggs.

    Roll in cracker crumb mixture.

    Place in skillet and brown on both sides. Remove to baking dish.

    Cover with sauce and bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
