- 1 c. flour
- 2 c. cornmeal
- 2 level tsp. baking powder
- 2 rounded tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 level tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar into a large mixing bowl and stir, mixing thoroughly with fork.

2Add cornmeal.

3Stir again.

4Add milk and eggs, stir with fork until well blended.

5Grease baking dish.

6Pour in mixture and bake at 400° until well brown on top, approximately 30 to 35 minutes. Should be firm on top if pressed with fork when done.

7Do not use electric mixer.
