Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef (sirloin),
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 carrot cut into matchsticks
  • 1 onion cut into wide strips
  • 2 Thai chili peppers, minced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Marinade:
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp ginger juice
  • Sauce:
  • 1 Tbsp wine
  • 2 Tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp sugar (can substitute brown sugar or honey, if desired)
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp corn starch
  • Asian chili sauce to taste
