  • 1 c. molasses
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 Tbsp. soda
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Mix the molasses, sugar and butter.

    Add the egg beating all thoroughly.

    Then add the boiling water, soda, ginger, salt and enough flour to make a soft dough.

    Roll and cut into small pieces. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Put fruit between layers.
