- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 Tbsp. soda
- 1 Tbsp. ginger
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Mix the molasses, sugar and butter.

2Add the egg beating all thoroughly.

3Then add the boiling water, soda, ginger, salt and enough flour to make a soft dough.

4Roll and cut into small pieces. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.

5Put fruit between layers.
