Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. softened butter
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger

    In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients with mixer.

    Mix remaining ingredients separately, then combine with first mixture. Chill at least 1 hour.

    Roll into 1-inch balls and coat with sugar. Bake at 350°, 2-inches apart on cookie sheet until light golden color and still a little gooey.
