  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour

Directions

    Chill 2 hours or overnight.

    Form into balls and roll in sugar.

    Place on baking sheet and bake in moderate oven, 375°, for about 10 minutes.
