- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Heat molasses and shortening together.

2Sift and measure flour.

3Sift again with ginger, salt and soda.

4Add to first mixture.

5Warm, mix and chill dough.

6Toss on lightly floured board and roll very thin.

7Cut in shapes.

8Place on well-greased tin in moderate oven.
