  • 1 c. shortening (margarine)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 c. hot water
