- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 3 tablespoons dark corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions

1Heat oven to 375F.

2Combine sugar and butter in bowl.

3Beat at medium speed until creamy.

4Add egg, corn syrup and vanilla.

5Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.

6Add all remaining ingredients except additional sugar; beat at low speed until well mixed.

7Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll balls in sugar.

8Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

9Bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

10Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.
