Ingredients

  • 4 oranges
  • 3 lemons
  • 24 lumps sugar
  • 1 c. shredded pineapple
  • 1 qt. ginger ale
  • 1 doz. cloves
  • 1/2 level tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 tsp. grated nutmeg
  • 1 pt. water
  • cracked ice

Directions

    Push the cloves into the oranges and let them stand an hour that the flavor may be extracted.

    Rub the sugar over the rind of the oranges and lemons, then add juice of these to the sugar.

    Add the spices and pineapple and let stand two hours.
  4. 4
    At the time of serving, put in the water and ginger ale and pour over the cracked ice.
