  • 4 medium pears, peeled, cored and halved
  • 1/4 c. orange juice
  • 8 gingersnap cookies, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. walnuts, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • whipped cream for topping (optional)

Directions

    Place pears cut-side up in baking dish.

    Drizzle with orange juice.

    Sprinkle with mixture of cookies, sugar, nuts and butter. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, until pears are tender.

    Serve warm with whipped cream topping, if desired.
