  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 2 1/4 flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp, cloves

    Cream first 4 ingredients.

    Blend in next 5 ingredients.

    Add 1 1/2 c. raisins if desired.

    Chill.

    Roll dough into small balls. Dip in sugar.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
