- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, beaten well
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Sift the first 6 ingredients together.

2Combine oil, eggs and molasses.

3Pour liquid ingredients into center of dry ingredients.

4Add boiling water.

5Bake in an 8 x 8-inch greased pan or 9-inch round pan at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
