- 34 cup boiling water
- 14 cup hot strong coffee
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 23 cup molasses
- 13 cup honey (or any mixture of molasses and honey)
- 3 large eggs
- 2 12 cups flour
- 1 12 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 12 teaspoons ground ginger
- 34 teaspoon nutmeg
- 12 teaspoon lemon peel
- 1 dash salt
- powdered sugar (optional)
Directions

1preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2grease 9x13 pan (preferably glass).

3pour boiling water/coffee over butter, sugar, molasses, and honey.

4stir until butter is melted.

5add eggs, beat well.

6mix dry ingredients.

7add dry to wet and mix until just combined.

8pour into pan and bake 1 hour.

9sprinkle top with powdered sugar (optional).
