- 2/3 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add egg and molasses; beat well.

3Add dry ingredients; mix well.

4Refrigerate 6 hours or more.

5Roll on floured surface 1/8-inch thick.

6Cut in desired shapes.

7Bake on greased cookie sheet about 9 or 10 minutes in a 350° oven. Remove, cool and decorate.
