  • 1 1/2 lb. frozen, raw, medium shrimp
  • 4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. finely chopped ginger root
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. sweet white wine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. thickly sliced green onion

    Peel shrimp under running water and devein.

    Heat water to boiling.

    Add 2 tablespoons salt and shrimp.

    Cover and heat to boiling.

    Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

    Drain.
