- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Put butter, sugar, molasses and egg into mixing bowl; beat well until creamy.

3Sift flour, soda, salt and spices together.

4Add to creamed mixture; blend well.

5Form into balls.

6Roll in granulated sugar.

7Place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.

8Bake about 10 minutes.

9Let cool a little before removing to cooling trays.
