  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Cream margarine and sugar well.

    Add beaten eggs, vanilla, nutmeg, salt and vinegar.

    Mix until well blended.

    Sift together flour, soda and baking powder; add to mixture.

    Chill in refrigerator.

    Shape into silver dollar size rolls.

    Wrap in wax paper.

    Chill until ready to bake.

    Slice thin.

    Bake on greased cookie sheet, 8 to 10 minutes (350°) or until light brown.
