  • 3/4 c. oleo
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. each: cloves, ginger and cinnamon

Directions

    Cream together oleo and sugar; add molasses and egg.

    Beat well.

    Add dry ingredients; blend well.

    Roll in small balls; dip in sugar.

    Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes.

    Dough works better if refrigerated for an hour.
