- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 eggs
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. ginger
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
Directions

1Cream shortening, brown sugar, molasses and eggs well.

2Add remaining ingredients to creamed mixture.

3Form dough into balls. Roll dough balls in white sugar.

4Bake at 325° for 17 minutes. Yields 50 cookies.
