  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 3 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 tsp. ginger
  • 3/4 c. molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 tsp. cloves
  • 1/3 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cream the shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg.

    Mix well and drop on greased cookie sheet.
