  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream together the brown sugar, molasses, Crisco and egg.

    Add the remaining ingredients; mix together.

    Roll in ball and sugar before baking.

    Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.

    They will appear not to be done.

    Makes soft cookies.
