  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, combine about 1/2 of the flour and all of the remaining ingredients.

    Beat with electric mixer on medium to high speed until thoroughly combined.

    Beat in remaining flour by hand. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.

    Roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
