- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Mix all ingredients in large bowl.

2Roll into small balls. Dip into sugar.

3Press down on greased baking sheet, using base of a drinking glass to flatten.

4Bake at 375° for about 15 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
