- 3 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. flavoring or coloring
Directions

1Combine sugar, water and Karo syrup over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.

2Turn on high and put in candy thermometer. Let boil until 310° is reached.

3Do not stir.

4Watch closely, as it may boil over.

5When temperature is reached, take off heat. Add flavoring and coloring.

6Pour into shallow flat pan.

7Let cool completely (overnight is best).

8Break into bite size pieces. Toss with powdered sugar.
