Glazed Apple Rings

- 1/4 c. margarine or butter
- 4 apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch rings
- 1/2 c. dry white wine or apple juice
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Heat margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until melted.

2Fry several apple rings at a time, turning once, until golden brown.

3(Add more margarine if necessary.)

4Return all apple rings to skillet.

5Mix wine, lemon juice, ginger and cinnamon; pour over apples.

6Sprinkle with sugar.

7Cover and cook over medium heat just until apples are tender and glazed, about 5 minutes.

8Serve warm and if desired, with whipped topping.
