  • 23 cup finely chopped walnuts or 23 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 14 cup Kahlua or 14 cup Amaretto
  • 3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces brie cheese (1 whole cheese)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Spread nuts across the bottom of an ungreased pie plate.

    Bake 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until toasted.

    Stir in liqueur, brown sugar and vanilla.

    Reduce heat to 325F Slice the top layer of rind off the Brie.

    Place the cheese in a small, ungreased baking dish and top with the nut syrup.

    Bake 8-10 minutes until cheese is hot and soft.

    Serve with crackers and slices of apple and pear.
