- 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 pound peeled baby carrots
Directions

1Combine the water, butter, sugar, salt and pepper in a 10-inch skillet.

2Add the carrots and place over medium-high heat.

3Cook, stirring occasionally, until all of the water has evaporated and the carrots are tender, about 20 minutes.
