  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
