- 12 cup water
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 dried red chilies
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 14 cup molasses
Directions

1Preheat oven to 250.

2Combine water,sugar and red chiles in a small saucepan.

3Bring to a boil over high heat.

4Add pecans and return to boil.

5Lower heat and simmer 10 minutes.

6Remove and discard chiles.

7Drain pecans and place on a cookie sheet.

8Bake for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

9Pour baked pecans into a small bowl, stirring in molasses.

10Place on a fresh cookie sheet.

11Bake another 45 minutes until crisp.
