  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. almonds
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 1 lb. pecans

    Beat egg whites.

    Add sugar and salt. Slowly melt margarine in three-quart casserole.

    Mix nuts into egg white mixture.

    Bake nuts in margarine at 325° until margarine is absorbed, about 45 minutes.
