Glazed Onions

  • 2 lb. boiling onions
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped pimento

Directions

    Peel onions; cook in boiling, salted water for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.

    Drain onions well, reserving 3/4 cup liquid.

    In 10-inch skillet, combine butter, sugar and reserved liquid.

    Cook and stir until blended.

    Add onions.

    Cook, uncovered, over low heat for about 25 to 30 minutes or until mixture glazes onions.

    Garnish with chopped pimento.
