Glazed Pears

  • 1 1/2 pounds seckel or Bosc pears
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons clarified butter
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

    Peel, core and slice the pears a quarter of an inch thick.

    Sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice.

    Melt the butter in a large, heavy frying pan.

    Saute the pears in a single layer a few at a time until golden.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
