- 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
- bread crumbs
- salt and red pepper to taste
Directions

1Boil cabbage in salted water until very tender; drain.

2Saute onion in butter.

3Add cheese and allow to melt over low heat. When cheese has melted, add mushroom soup and blend.

4Add boiled cabbage and mix well.

5Add bread crumbs until of proper consistency, about 3/4 to 1 cup.

6Season to taste.

7Put in a 2-quart casserole; sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake at 350° about 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and hot.
