Golden Pecan Pie

- 3 eggs
- 2/3 c. white sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. butter, melted
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. pecan pieces
- pie crust (9-inch), unbaked (deep dish)
Directions

1Mix eggs with sugar; mix well. Add salt, vanilla, cornstarch, melted butter and corn syrup.

2Mix well. Stir in pecan pieces or make a decorative top with halves.

3Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce to 325° for 45 minutes.

4Bake until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Refrigerate.

5Freezes well.
