- 3 c. flour
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. warm mashed potatoes
- 3 Tbsp. bacon fat
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Sift flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg.

2Beat eggs; add sugar, mashed potatoes and bacon fat.

3Beat well; add milk.

4Do not beat.

5Add dry ingredients and stir until flour disappears.

6Set in refrigerator to chill.

7Place 1/2 chilled dough on floured board. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.

8Cut with cutter.

9Fry in deep fat at 350°.
