Ingredients

  • 6 medium Russets
  • boiling water
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 bunch finely chopped green onions
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs

Directions

    Cook potatoes in salted, boiling water until tender.

    Remove from water, cool and grate coarsely.

    Combine and add sour cream, grated cheese, onion, milk, salt and pepper and mix well.

    Place in a well-greased baking pan.

    Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add bread crumbs.

    Mix well and scatter on top of potatoes.

    Bake, uncovered, at 300° for 30 to 45 minutes.
