Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. wheat bran (unprocessed or toasted)
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. golden raisins
- 1/4 c. margarine, chilled
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1In a large bowl, thoroughly combine flour, bran, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in margarine with pastry blender until mixture is size of coarse bread crumbs. Stir in raisins. Thoroughly blend 1/2 cup milk with egg.

2Gradually add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead 10 to 12 times.

3Pat into a circle 1/2-inch thick.

4Cut into 8 wedges.

5Arrange on cookie sheet. Combine milk with brown sugar and brush on surface of scones. Shape into cone shape. Bake at 350° approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
