   Sift dry ingredients directly into ungreased cake pan (8-inch square).

   Make 3 holes in dry mixture.

   Pour oil into one hole. Pour vanilla into second hole.

   Pour vinegar in third hole.

   Pour cold water over all.

   Stir with fork until evenly blended.

   Bake at 350° for 35-40 min.

   Invert to cool.

   Frost.
