  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift together flour, sugar, salt, cocoa and baking powder in an ungreased 9 x 9-inch pan.

    Make three holes in dry ingredients. Put 1 tablespoon vinegar in one hole, 1/3 cup oil in second hole and 1 teaspoon vanilla in third hole.

    Pour in 1 cup of cold water and mix until smooth. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
