- 1/4 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. washed and stemmed gooseberries
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Cream margarine and 1/3 cup sugar well.

2Add baking powder and flour, mix well.

3Add milk to creamed mixture.

4Spread in greased 8-inch pie pan.

5Top with berries.

6Sprinkle 1 cup sugar over berries, dot with margarine and pour boiling water over all.

7Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 375° until lightly brown.
