- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 small bell pepper (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. corn oil or cooking oil
- 1 can (small) tomato sauce
- 2 c. water
- 1 pkg. elbow macaroni
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Brown ground beef and chopped onion in cooking oil with bell pepper in electric frypan or large skillet.

2Drain oil; add tomato sauce and water to the ground beef, onion and bell pepper; season with salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic salt and Worcestershire sauce.

3Stir constantly with wooden spoon to prevent sticking.

4Add elbow macaroni to mixture directly from package (uncooked) and continue stirring.

5Add more water as needed to prevent dryness. Macaroni will absorb the water and make the sauce as it cooks. (Spaghetti may be substituted for macaroni.)

6Cook slowly until macaroni is tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
