- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 pkg. fine (6 or 8 oz.) egg noodles
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 c. grated Cheddar or American cheese
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- black pepper
Directions

1Brown meat in oil.

2Add salt, pepper, tomatoes, tomato sauce and garlic.

3Simmer about 5 minutes.

4Remove garlic pulp.

5Cook noodles according to directions and drain.

6While noodles are still warm, add cheese and sour cream; mix well.

7In casserole, alternate layers of noodles mixture, beef mixture and grated cheese.

8Repeat layers until all used.

9Bake 35 minutes at 350°.

10Serves 6 to 8.
